6th International Forum for Young Composers
Integral part of the LIEU, the International Forum for Young Composers was created in 2000 by the Aleph Ensemble, and is now organizing its 6th edition. After a call for score launched online (works for 5 to 7 musicians of the Aleph Ensemble, lessthan 7 minutes, composers under the age of 40), Aleph musicians selected 8 composers coming from Russia, Sweden, Japan, Argentina, Ukraine, Italia, Chile and Greece.
Selected composers will be invited in April 2010 to a creation residence which will take place at the Moulin d'Andé, « Centre Culturel de Rencontre », during which they will take part to rehearsals of their works and these of other composers and present publicly their work and personal backgroung. Composers also take parts in debates organized during lectures and reply to the interview of Makis Solomos, the musicologist in charge, with Katherine Veyne (Cdmc, Paris) of the logbook.
The 8 works will be recorded and the CD is included in the logbook distrubuted to the public at each concert. The Forum enable these composers to see their work being performed in the Dunois Theater but also all around Europe in the partner countries of the LIEU.
The creation concert took place the 22 May 2010 in the Dunois Theater, Paris.
